President’s Page

I would like to introduce myself and welcome you to the new VCSCOA website.  Many hours have been spent trying to bring you a website we hope you will enjoy.  As a brief introduction, I have been an SST since 1999 and been a member of the VCSCOA Board of Directors for approximately 10 years. I started at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility where I worked in Housing, Level Control, Inmate Property, and the Kitchen.  During this time I had a collateral assignment with the Sheriff’s Tactical Response Team.  In 2006 I worked as an Investigative Assistant for the Camarillo Police Department’s Detective Unit.  In 2008, I worked for the Sheriff’s Aviation/ Search and Rescue Unit but due to budget cuts, I returned to the Pre-trial Detention Facility one year later.  Soon after, I took a position in the Forensic Services Bureau’s, West County Property Room.  I am currently assigned to the Technical Services Unit in the Special Services Division.

As an SST for over 20 years, I have worked closely with Sheriff’s Management, Professional and Sworn staff.  I believe the relationships that I have formed will be an asset for VCSCOA.

My goal as President is to have the VCSCOA Board of Directors work together as a team, not as individuals.  We have been elected by you, to represent you, to the Department, to Sheriff’s Administration and to the County.  I hope I can earn your trust and support.  I welcome all comments and concerns.

Thank you

Dan Seibert
